Square Enix recently released FFXIII on the 360 and has seen and additional 1.5 million copies sold. Count on seeing FF Versus XIII on the 360 as well.
I have Chosen Several AAA titles to use as examples. The sales numbers may demonstrate Insominac's reasoning to go multi-plat and why others may follow. Units sold as of 05-22-2010 are posted below.

Don't get me wrong the PS3 is no slouch. It has seen success with cross-platform titles. FFXIII has been a hit on the PS3 selling over 4 million units compared to the 1.5 million sold on Xbox 360. However, the Final Fantasy series had been exclusive to the PlayStation prior to being released on the 360. Batman: Arkham Asylum sold 1.87 million copies to the 1.43 million sold on the Xbox 360.
With the Xbox 360 being so successful in software sales it is possible we will see more developers who were once exclusive to Sony go multi-platform. Unless company's like Microsoft and Sony are willing to buy developers for exclusive rights, the only exclusives we see will be first party titles. In the future, there will be far and fewer exclusives as opposed to multi-platform games. We can twist it any way we want but the Numbers just don't lie.
